What is the difference between a lab-grown diamond and a natural diamond?

A lab-grown diamond is manufactured in a controlled environment whereas natural diamonds are extracted from the Earth by mining.

Why should I buy a lab-grown diamond?

Most importantly, lab-grown diamonds have less of an environmental impact.  For example, an estimated 250 tonnes of earth is moved during the mining process for a single carat of natural diamond.

Lab-grown diamonds are also more budget friendly.

Do you sell natural diamonds?

Yes.  We have been selling natural diamonds for more than 40 years.

If you have decided on your specifications, send them in for us to review and we'll send you a quote which will have a price and lead time to receive your order.

What are The 4 Cs?

Carat, Clarity, Colour, and Cut

What is Carat?

Simply, 1 Carat = 200mg.

In other words, the carat describes the weight of the diamond, or how heavy it is.

If the weight increases, the price increases.

We can help by providing information, but only you can decide on the size that is right for you.

What is Clarity?

The grading scale for the Clarity of a diamond ranges from FL (flawless) to I3 (included).  It incorporates the size and number of imperfections.  Price decreases as the size and number of imperfections increase.

What is Colour?

The Colour of a diamond is assessed according to a scale ranging from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow).  The less colour in the diamond, the more expensive it is.  Take a look at how IGI views colour.

The official GIA colour scale can be found here

What is Cut?

The process of shaping a diamond to optimize its brilliance is referred to as its Cut.  If the stone is cut poorly, it will be less luminous.  As the quality of the cut increases, so does the price.

b) measure an existing ring that fits well, and use that value to select the size at time of purchase

or

c) pick the average size and return for adjustment if it doesn't fit.

How can I verify the authenticity of the lab diamond I purchase from Dymond Ringz Inc?

Each engagement ring is accompanied by an Appraisal Certificate issued by an independent third party.

The Appraisal Certificate is a statement of authenticity verifying product characteristics.

The Appraisal Certificate is to be stored in a secure location as it is required by insurance companies for policy inclusion and coverage.

I have a ring design that I am in love with, will you make it for me?

The answer is "yes".  Send in a picture, and we'll contact you about the process if it isn't a design we already have catalogued.  Once you agree that we have the information captured to your satisfaction, we will send you a quote.  If everything is correct, and you accept the quote, we will then issue an invoice.  Once payment has been received, we will manufacture and ship the product as per typical lead times.

Do you have ring and dymond sizes that are larger or smaller than what is on your website?

Yes.  If you would like to talk to us about something specific in the way of size, contact us and we'll get the conversation started.  Material and machine adjustments are within our immediate control.

Do you have any other designs I can look at?

The answer is "yes" and "no".  We have accumulated over a thousand ring designs over three generations.  However, it takes time to acquire and prepare the images for the website.  We are always in the process of uploading more designs.  If you have something in mind, send in a sketch, or a picture, and we'll contact you about the process if we haven't manufactured it in the past.

Do you ship to the United States or international addresses?

We are currently only shipping product to Canadian addresses.  That being said, we are in the process of updating our automated order processing to enable shipping to countries outside of Canada.  As you can imagine, each country has its own set of rules for transacting, so it may take a bit of time to get it right.  Please check back soon, or contact us.  If we have a firm timeline on when a specific country will be integrated into the website, we will share with you.
